Hurdy Gurdy Metal

Well, technically this song is Folk Metal. But they were my first introduction to the hurdy-gurdy outside of the Renaissance Festival, so they get the special distinction of their own subgenre of metal. If you’ve liked some of the other stuff I’ve posted in the last week or so then you will most likely dig this.

Although this song is in English, bonus points if you can name the now-dead language that Eluveitie normally sings in.

  1. Wow, I never heard of them before actually. That’s amazing! I love the high, delicate, almost irish-jig-like strains behind the growling and heavy beat. Epic juxtaposition.
